How it fits the Spot

The kit mounts on a quick-release plate on the Spot payload rails and is powered from a Spot payload port through a DC-DC converter. Spot is rated for about 14 kg of payload; the kit stays well under that and keeps the LiDAR clear of the body cameras. All devices connect to one Ethernet switch inside the payload, so the robot computer sees the LiDAR, gimbal and GNSS on one network.

FAQ

How much does an inspection payload for the Boston Dynamics Spot cost?

The YUANZHI Boston Dynamics Spot inspection payload kit starts at US$8,690 for the kit only (LiDAR, dual-spectrum gimbal, depth camera, RTK GNSS, 5G, mount and power). The robot, shipping and import duty are not included; an onboard Jetson Orin NX adds US$2,290.

Is the Boston Dynamics Spot included?

No. The kit is designed for a Boston Dynamics Spot you already own or buy separately. We can advise on where to buy the robot in your country.

How long does delivery take?

Assembly and testing take 4 to 6 weeks after payment, then shipping by air or express, usually 5 to 10 days to Europe or North America.

Does it work with ROS 2?

Yes. All sensors are delivered with ROS 2 drivers configured, and the kit connects to the robot over Ethernet, so it works with your existing onboard computer.

Can the configuration be changed?

Yes. Sensors can be removed or swapped (for example a different LiDAR, a gas detector or a speaker), and we quote the changed kit within one working day.
